Ingredients
- 4 Pomegranates
Instructions
- Wash pomegranate well.
- Make a small cut around the cap and gently lift off so you don’t damage any of the seeds.
- Score the pom in four or five sections from top to bottom.
- Gently break the sections apart by twisting carefully, using both hands.
- Hold one section at a time in your hand, with the seeds facing your hand.
- Hold the pom over a bowl, with palm facing up and fingers slightly spread apart.
- Firmly spank the back of the pom with a wooden spoon.
- The seeds will then fall between your fingers into the bowl.
- Repeat with each section until you’ve released the seeds of all four pomegranates.
- Pick out any parts of the membrane that may have fallen into the bowl as they can make the juice bitter.
- Now you are ready to send them through your juicer!
Notes
- There are many different kinds of juicers. I selected one from a local retail store that was inexpensive and it works great. This is a delicious, fresh juice that will boost your energy as you start your day.
